now a range of accreditations
available to printers who
want to demonstrate their
commitment to green business
practices. If your company
has also committed to strong

Programme
for the Endorsement of Forest
Certification
The
world's largest environmental
certification system, the Programme
for the Endorsement of Forest
Certification (PEFC) helps purchasers
of wood and paper products promote
the sustainable management of
forests. PEFC certification
therefore means the paper they
use comes from sustainable sources
and is not negatively impacting
the number of trees on the planet
- and thus the Earth’s
ability to process CO2. For

Forest
Stewardship Council
The Forest Stewardship Council
(FSC) is an international organisation
that aims to promote responsible
stewardship of the world’s
forests. It operates through
a network of National Initiatives
in 45 countries who can certify
forest managers and forest product
producers to FSC standards.
Several thousand products are
now produced using FSC-certified
wood carrying the FSC trademark,
so if your printer is using
them you know they are taking
their green commitments seriously.
